Selaras: Journal of Psychological Studies publishes research works from Indonesian and international scholars. We welcome submissions from a diverse range of topics and authors within our focus and scope. We invite reviewers from across backgrounds and nationalities to contribute as peer reviewers.

Selaras: Journal of Psychological Studies is published twice a year (every May and October). Submissions are welcome at any time. The review process (double-blind peer review) is targeted to be accomplished within 3 months after submission.

Please submit your manuscript electronically through the manuscript submission portal in Microsoft Word format. You will need to register a new account (if you do not have one) to submit. Do not submit manuscripts to the editor's email address.

General Guidelines

Before submitting your manuscript, please make sure it has met our general requirements:  

1. The research area is within our Focus and Scope.
2. The manuscript is an original work, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under consideration by another journal.
3. The research paper is written in either English or Indonesian with the title, abstract, and keywords in bilingual languages, English and Indonesian.
4. The manuscript is written in adherence to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 7^thEdition.
5. The manuscript must not contain any author-identifying information. Please use the required Manuscript Template for your article and Title Page (Indonesian / English) for author information.
6. The format of the manuscript follows the journal guidelines for Manuscript Structures and Formatting Guidelines.

Submission Guidelines

Once you're ready to submit your article, you can click on the "Make a new submission" on the top of this page under the "Submissions" or alternatively you can click here. You will be then redirected to the submission page.

1. Start
   • Submission Language. Submissions in English or Indonesian are accepted. Choose the primary language of the submission from the pulldown menu.
   • Submission Requirements. You must read and acknowledge that you've completed the requirements below before proceeding.
     
   • Comments for the Editor. In this section, you may provide comments or additional information for the editor. Please use this space to clarify any aspects of your submission, such as special requests, conflicts of interest, or other relevant details.
     
   • Acknowledge the copyright statement. Read the copyright statements below and tick both checkboxes to confirm that you acknowledge and accept the terms. Your submission cannot proceed without this confirmation.
     
   • Once all required fields are completed, click 'Save and Continue'.
2. Upload Submission
   • In this section, you can upload your file by clicking 'Add File' or 'Upload File.' After clicking the button, browse to the location of your file, select it, and click 'Open.' Your file will then be uploaded and displayed on the screen. Click the 'Edit' button and choose the option that best describes the file (e.g., 'Article Text' for your article without the author's name and affiliation, 'Title Page' for the author’s name and affiliation, or another option that matches your file type). After selecting the appropriate file type, click 'Save.' Repeat this process for all your files.
   • Once you uploaded all your file, click 'Save and Continue'.
3. Enter Metadata
   • In this step, please complete as many fields as possible in this section. Providing accurate metadata ensures that your article is properly indexed, making it easier for researchers to find, cite, and reference your work. Key metadata such as the title, abstract, keywords, and author details contribute to the visibility and credibility of your article in academic databases. Ensure that all information is correctly formatted and aligned with journal guidelines.
   • For the 'References' field, please format your references according to APA style in a separate blank Word file and then convert it to HTML code. You can use site such as this site to convert your file to HTML code.
   • To convert your Word file to HTML code using this site, please follow these steps:
     • Go to the website and scroll down to find the 'Upload file & convert to HTML' button, then click it.
     • Browse to the location of your file, select it, and click 'Open.'
     • Scroll up to view your converted HTML code.
     • Click the 'Copy to clipboard' button and paste the code into the 'References' section."
   • Once you're done, click 'Save and Continue'.
4. Confirmation.Your submission has been uploaded and is ready to be sent. You may go back to review and adjust any of the information you have entered before continuing. When you are ready, click "Finish Submission".
5. Next Steps. After you finished your submission, please wait for the reviewers to evaluate your article.
