Artikel ini merupakan kajian biblika dan reflektif atas Mazmur 121 dengan tema “perjalanan iman”. Melalui kisah seorang pemuda bernama Harum yang mengalami kehilangan mendalam, penulis menyoroti bahwa perjalanan hidup manusia sarat tantangan yang menuntut penemuan kembali sumber pertolongan sejati. Dalam konteks biblika, Mazmur 121 termasuk dalam “Nyanyian Ziarah” yang menggambarkan perjalanan umat Israel menuju Yerusalem, simbol dari pergumulan dan pengharapan kepada Tuhan. Ungkapan “melayangkan mata ke gunung-gunung” diinterpretasikan sebagai seruan iman akan pertolongan ilahi dan pengakuan bahwa keselamatan sejati tidak bersumber dari kekuatan duniawi, melainkan dari Tuhan, “ʿēzer”—Penolong yang mencipta langit dan bumi. Refleksi Kristen atas mazmur ini menegaskan ketergantungan total kepada Tuhan sebagai sumber pengharapan kekal. Pemikiran teologis John Calvin dan John Gill memperdalam pesan iman tersebut, mengajak umat untuk meninggalkan kebergantungan pada hal-hal fana dan mempercayakan diri sepenuhnya kepada Tuhan. Dengan demikian, Mazmur 121 dipahami bukan hanya sebagai doa perjalanan, tetapi juga sebagai pernyataan iman aktif yang meneguhkan kehadiran Tuhan sebagai Penolong yang setia di setiap langkah kehidupan.
