Critical thinking, creative thinking, and mastery of concepts are essential for students to possess in 21st century learning, which addresses the challenges of an ever-evolving world and focuses on life skills. The purpose of this research is to determine whether the Deeper Learning Cycle (DELC) learning strategy can enhance critical thinking, creative thinking, and mastery of concepts in Biology subjects. The subjects of this study were 37 eleventh-grade students, divided into a control class and an experimental class. The research method used in this study was a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. Research data were obtained through test questions that had been validated and tested for reliability. The results of the analysis and statistical tests showed that the average scores for critical thinking, creative thinking, and mastery of concepts in the experimental class were higher than those in the control class. This data is supported by the average n-gain results of the experimental class for critical thinking, creative thinking, and mastery of concepts, which fall into the moderate category with respective values of 0.63, 0.66, and 0.66. Meanwhile, the average n-gain scores of the control class for critical thinking, creative thinking, and mastery of concepts fall into the low category with respective values of 0.13, 0.19, and 0.13. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the Deeper Learning Cycle (DELC) learning strategy can enhance critical thinking, creative thinking, and mastery of concepts.
