Nurses’ Spiritual Well-Being and Spiritual Care Competence: A Cross-Sectional Study in Indonesia

Abstrak

Kesejahteraan spiritual merupakan kepuasan yang mendasar pada peningkatan potensial dalam hidup seseorang dan kemampuan dalam mengekspresikan hubungan diri dengan pencipta, diri sendiri, orang lain, dan lingkungan sekitar. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan antara spiritualitas perawat dan kompetensi mereka dalam memberikan asuhan spiritual kepada pasien. Menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional dengan desain penelitian cross- sectional, sampel terdiri dari perawat Indonesia yang aktif di berbagai unit perawatan di rumah sakit atau pusat kesehatan, dipilih secara insidental, dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 348 perawat di Indonesia. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Spiritual Well-Being Scale (SWBS) (Alpha Cronbach= 0.904) untuk mengukur spiritualitas perawat dan Spiritual Care Competency Scale (SCCS) (Alpha Cronbach=0.962) sebagai kuesioner kompetensi dalam asuhan spiritual. Analisa data menggunakan Spearman Rank. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan kesehjahteraan spritual dengan kompetensi asuhan spritual perawat dengan nilai (p-Value <0,001). Bagi peneliti selanjutnya Penelitian ini dapat ditingkatkan dengan memperbanyak jumlah responden dan menggunakan referensi yang lebih terbaru dan lebih banyak. Keterbatasan dan kekurangan penelitian dapat diatasi pada penelitian selanjutnya sehingga, responden dapat memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang hubungan kesejahteraan spiritual dengan kompetensi asuhan spiritual perawat dan lebih meneliti faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesehjahteraan spiritual dan kompetensi asuhan spiritual.
