Penerapan Rekayasa Desain Bunyi pada Aplikasi Seluler UPH Mobile

Penggunaan aplikasi seluler di lingkungan sehari-hari sudah menjadi hal yang umum, peran bunyi dalam aplikasi seluler pun sudah sangat sering ditemui karena memiliki fungsi dan manfaat bagi pengguna dan pihak aplikasi itu tersebut. Namun salah satu aplikasi yang dekat dengan kehidupan peneliti yakni UPH Mobile dirasa kurang memaksimalkan peran bunyi ke dalam kegunaan aplikasi tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses kreatif yang perlu dilakukan dalam merancang sebuah desain bunyi untuk aplikasi UPH Mobile. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan art based research, metode dan pendekatan tersebut dipilih karena sangat sesuai untuk kebutuhan riset mengenai proses kreatif dari merancang bunyi. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan design thinking untuk merancang desain bunyi pada aplikasi tersebut. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa konsep pada tahapan awal mendesain sangat berpengaruh terhadap hasil akhir bunyi. Konsep yang kuat dan matang akan menimbulkan ide-ide yang unik dan tepat sasaran. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pengetahuan baru dalam merancang desain bunyi untuk aplikasi seluler dengan berbagai cara. Implikasi dalam penelitian ini adalah bahwa konsep utama sangat berpengaruh terhadap hasil akhir dari desain bunyi aplikasi seluler.
