Abstract


Based on research that has been done in class XI ABC Jakarta High School, the researcher sees that students' interest in chemistry is quite low. This causes students to feel uninterested in learning. To solve this problem, the researcher used Kahoot! to increase students’ interest, and its development is reviewed in terms of students’ responses during the learning process. By using the literature studies method and observation, this paper was written to see the effect of the implementation of media Kahoot! to increase students' interest in learning chemistry on the topic of hydrocarbon compounds, and to provide development strategies in the effort to use Kahoot! in other chemistry learning classes through SWOT analysis. The results showed that using Kahoot! in learning chemistry topic hydrocarbon compounds in class XI ABC Jakarta High School was able to increase students' interest in learning, and researcher have established strategies that can be used for the development of media Kahoot! in other chemistry learning classes. Also, this research can be used to help chemistry teachers to present interesting learning about God’s creation in chemistry field. The researcher suggests teachers to reduce technical errors in designing and using Kahoot!, and implementing the development strategies that have been described.
