TRANSFORMASI PRAKTIK JURNALISME PERJALANAN PADA RUBRIK TRAVEL KOMPAS.COM

Transformasi media digital telah mengubah praktik jurnalisme konvensional, termasuk dalam penyajian konten jurnalisme perjalanan yang kini banyak dipublikasikan melalui portal berita daring. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana penerapan kaidah jurnalistik dalam konten rubrik Travel di Kompas.com sebagai bentuk jurnalisme perjalanan di era digital. Fokus kajian terletak pada struktur narasi, akurasi informasi, serta penerapan prinsip-prinsip jurnalistik seperti 5W+1H, piramida terbalik, dan independensi editorial dalam menyajikan berita wisata. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus dengan data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan jurnalis, editor, dan pembaca rubrik Travel, serta observasi non-partisipatif terhadap konten yang dipublikasikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun rubrik Travel Kompas.com berupaya mengadopsi prinsip jurnalistik secara umum, sangat mengacu pada elemen-elemen kaidah jurnalistik serta kode etik jurnalistik dalam melakukan peliputan berita travel dan memberikan informasi yang bermanfaat serta keakuratan yang terjamin. Elemen promosi dimunculkan dalam bentuk kerjasama advertorial atau brandsview, dengan memunculkan tanda biru pada artikel tersebut, sebagai batasan pada praktik jurnalistik. Temuan ini memperkuat posisi jurnalisme perjalanan yang memang membutuhkan kerangka etika dalam konteks konvergensi media. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan studi jurnalisme digital, khususnya dalam menilai kualitas informasi pariwisata dan akuntabilitas media daring di Indonesia.
The transformation of digital media has changed conventional journalism practices, including the presentation of travel journalism content that is now widely published through online news portals. This study aims to analyse how the application of journalistic principles in the content of the Travel section on Kompas.com as a form of travel journalism in the digital era. The research focuses on the narrative structure, information accuracy, and the application of journalistic principles such as 5W+1H, the inverted pyramid structure, and editorial independence in presenting travel news. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method with data collected through semi-structured interviews with journalists, editors, and readers of the Travel section, as well as non-participatory observation of published content. The results show that although the Travel section of Kompas.com seeks to adopt journalistic principles in general, it strongly refers to the elements of journalistic rules and the journalistic code of ethics in covering travel news and providing useful information and guaranteed accuracy. Promotional elements appear in the form of advertorial or brandview collaborations, by appearing a blue mark on the article, as a limitation on journalistic practices. This finding strengthens the position of travel journalism, which requires an ethical framework in the context of media convergence. This research contributes to the development of digital journalism studies, especially in assessing the quality of tourism information and accountability of online media in Indonesia.
