PERUBAHAN KOMPETENSI GURU PROFESIONAL PADA STANDAR KOMPETENSI GURU: SEBUAH KAJIAN LITERATUR [CHANGES IN PROFESSIONAL TEACHER COMPETENCE IN TEACHER COMPETENCY STANDARDS: A LITERATURE REVIEW]

The changing dynamics of industry and societal needs are key factors that have driven the evolution of teacher competency standards over time. One notable aspect of this evolution is the shift in professional competencies. These changes involve the addition, reduction, or modification of various competency elements. The objective of this study is to provide a comprehensive mapping of the alterations in the elements of professional competence. The research methodology employed is a systematic literature review. Following a rigorous screening process, 12 sources were identified that discuss the additions, reductions, modifications, and field dynamics related to changes in professional competencies. The findings from these sources reveal that current teacher competencies place a stronger emphasis on pedagogical expertise in content delivery, while less emphasis is placed on mastery of subject matter. In contrast, earlier professional competency standards heavily prioritized subject matter knowledge. To support this shift, training programs provided by governmental bodies and academic institutions play a crucial role in assisting teachers in achieving the required competencies. Through these ongoing changes, it is anticipated that teachers will be able to adapt to and effectively implement the evolving standards of professional competence.
Abstrak Bahasa Indonesia:
Perubahan industri dan kebutuhan merupakan salah satu alasan mengapa standar kompetensi guru mengikuti jaman. Salah satu aspek yang berubah adalah kompetensi profesional. Perubahan kompetensi ini memberikan penambahan, pengurangan, atau perubahan pada elemen kompetensi. Tujuan dari penulisan ini adalah memetakan perubahan-perubahan elemen pada kompetensi profesional dengan komprehensif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah systematic literature review. Setelah melakukan screening, terdapat 12 sumber yang menjawab penambahan, pengurangan, perubahan, serta dinamika lapangan terkait perubahan kompetensi profesional. Hasil penemuan dari sumber-sumber tersebut adalah kompetensi guru pada saat ini menekankan pada keahlian dalam mengajarkan konten dan kurang memperhitungkan penguasaan materi. Sebelumnya, kompetensi profesional guru sangat menekankan akan penguasaan materi. Untuk mencapai tersebut, pelatihan baik dari pemerintah atau kampus membantu guru untuk mencapai kompetensi ini. Melalui perubahan yang terjadi, guru diharapkan bisa beradaptasi dengan kompetensi profesional.
