From many choices of brass instruments, French horn is a brass instrument that is still rarely found and there are not many players in Indonesia. Besides being fairly expensive, French horn is unique compared to other brass instruments. One of the peculiarities of the French horn lies in the position of the player's right hand on the bell, even though this instrument has been equipped with valves, with the aim of producing more varied sounds, outside the harmonic series of the instrument itself. This is the aim of this study, that is to examine one of the uniqueness of this musical instrument. The method that will be used in this research will be done through the library method with a qualitative approach through literature studies of books, articles, journals, documentation, videos, and other online media that are in accordance with the research and will be a reference to support research and solve problems. From this study, it can be concluded the correct right hand position and the different types of sounds that can be produced from the right hand position of French horn players.
Referensi
