Pemaparan Proses Penciptaan Komposisi Musik “The Lovers” Oleh Sri Hanuraga
Abstract
The creation of musical compositions can be inspired by various motifs, both musical and extra-musical. The composition entitled “The Lovers” is a work by Sri Hanuraga, written for Josh Marcy’s dance piece of the same name. Marcy’s work is a collage of romantic imagery that finds its meaning through a disruption of traditional notions of romance. This paper outlines Hanuraga’s strategies for concretely translating the discourse presented by Marcy into musical material.
