DESCRIPTION OF CITIZEN’S KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE, AND BEHAVIOR ABOUT COVID-19 VACCINATION IN A VILLAGE, EAST INDONESIA

COVID-19 is a disease that attacks the respiratory system which scored a death toll of 143,077 in October 2021 in Indonesia. Efforts made to reduce the incidence of COVID-19 are physical distancing, washing hands, using masks, and COVID-19 vaccines. Acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine in Indonesia is still low, this is related to the level of knowledge, attitude, and behavior of the community towards the COVID-19 vaccination program. The research is to identify a description of the knowledge, attitude, and behavior of the community towards COVID-19 vaccination in Nifukani village, West Amanuban sub-district. The study used a quantitative descriptive method with a cross-sectional approach. The research sample is 302 respondents. The validity test with Pearson Product Moment was declared valid with the results of r-count>r-table 0.3494. The reliability test was declared reliable with Cronbach Alpha values of 0.682 and 0.721. Univariate data analysis technique. The results showed that the demographic characteristics of the respondents were the same as female and male (50%), most were 18-25 years old (36.8%), the last education was SMA/SMK equivalent (57.7%), not/not yet have a work (60.6%), they have received two doses of vaccine (69.5%), poor knowledge (70.9%), good attitudes (56.3%), and good behavior (90.1%). Public knowledge needs to be increased by collaborating with local institutions in providing education about COVID-19 vaccination.
