INISIASI PENANGANAN LIMBAH PADAT MELALUI PROGRAM MONITORING CENTER SUSTAINABLE TOURISM OBSERVATORIES (MCSTO)

Praktik pelaksanaan Program Monitoring Center Sustainable Tourism Observatories (MCSTO) hakikatnya adalah upaya untuk menjamin keberlangsungan sumber daya dan manfaat secara berkelanjutan. Kompleksitas fasilitas, aktivitas dan pelayanan ditujukan sepenuhnya untuk memperhitungkan dampak ekonomi, sosial budaya dan lingkungan pada saat ini hingga masa yang akan datang tanpa mengabaikan kebutuhan wisatawan, industri, lingkungan dan masyarakat di destinasi setempat.
Tujuan utama pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui program Monitoring Center Sustainable Tourism Observatories (MCSTO) : bagaimana pelaksanaan penanganan limbah padat melalui program MCSTO, bagaimana edukasi dan sosialisasi, fasilitasi infrastruktur dan teknologi pengolahan dan monitoring dan evaluasi berkelanjutan kolaborasi dan replikasi dalam penanganan limbah padat melalui program MCSTO. Metode pelaksanaan yaitu Sosialisasi dan Edukasi, Sistem Pemilahan Sampah, Pengolahan Sampah Organik Daur Ulang dan Bank Sampah, dan Kelompok Masyarakat, Pemantauan dan Evaluasi Berkala melalui penanganan sampah.
Hasil yang diharapkan yaitu penanganan limbah padat berkolaborasi antara institusi Pendidikan , dunia industri, dan Organisasi Masyarakat Muhammadiyah melalui yaitu Pimpinan Cabang Aisyah (PCA) Kabupaten Cirebon, menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan berbasis masyarakat, didukung edukasi, fasilitas pemilahan, dan pengolahan limbah, dapat menciptakan lingkungan sekitar yang bersih, sehat, dan berkelanjutan.
The implementation practice of the Monitoring Center for Sustainable Tourism Observatories (MCSTO) program is essentially an effort to ensure the sustainability of resources and long-term benefits. The complexity of facilities, activities, and services is fully directed toward considering economic, socio-cultural, and environmental impacts at present and in the future, without neglecting the needs of tourists, the tourism industry, the environment, and local communities at the destination.
The main objectives of this community service program through the Monitoring Center for Sustainable Tourism Observatories (MCSTO) are to explore: (1) how solid waste management is implemented through the MCSTO program, (2) how education and community outreach are carried out, (3) how infrastructure and waste processing technologies are facilitated, and (4) how continuous monitoring, evaluation, collaboration, and replication are conducted in solid waste management through the MCSTO program.
The methods of implementation include: socialization and education, waste sorting systems, organic waste recycling and waste bank initiatives, community groups, as well as periodic monitoring and evaluation of waste management.
