PENYULUHAN KEWASPADAAN TERHADAP LEPTOSPIROSIS DI WILAYAH RAWAN BANJIR DESA PANTAI HAMBAWANG

Leptospirosis merupakan penyakit menular yang dapat dicegah dengan memberikan pengetahuan dan mempromosikan perilaku kesehatan preventif di wilayah berisiko. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) yang telah dilaksanakan pada masyarakat di lingkungan lahan basah dan wilayah rawan banjir. Tujuan PKM, adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai mengenai kewaspadaan leptospirosis pada masyarakat di Desa Pantai Hambawang. Penyuluhan dilakukan dengan metode ceramah interaktif, diskusi, serta penggunaan media poster dan slide edukatif. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test terhadap 30 responden dan mencegah kejadiaan penyakit menular dan akut. Pada kegiatan ini juga diinformasikan mengenai faktor risiko dan potensi leptospirosis, serta upaya pencegahannya. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dengan kategori baik, dari 20% sebelum penyuluhan menjadi 83,3 % setelah penyuluhan (p-value 0,000<α 0,05). Kesimpulan, penyuluhan mengenai kewaspadaan leptospirosis, dapat mengingkatkan pengetahuan masyakarat dan di wilayah lahan basah bantaran sungai. Diharapkan dengan bekal pengetahuan yang diterimanya, masarakat setempat dapat meminimalisir leptospirosis.
