Communities that have differences in ethnicity, religion, customs, and regionalism always have the opportunity to deal with conflict. Inter-community conflict has implications for the pattern of everyday interactions, as seen in Lombok communities that consist of Muslims (Sasak) and Balinese (Hindu). Domicile patterns that group rather than blend create social segregation. Nevertheless, in the Sasak and Balinese tribes, there is local wisdom about ways of reconciliation in the event of a conflict. Every community has the potential to resolve conflicts within their own culture. Instead of involving outsiders, conflict resolution methods like this have proven to be more effective. This paper will examine how the local wisdom of each community, namely Sasak and Balinese, is used as an effort to reconcile the conflict between the two on Lombok.
