Penerapan Pembelajaran Kontekstual Pada Materi Energi Terbarukan Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Kognitif Siswa Kelas X
Abstract
Contextual learning is identified as a relevant strategy to improve students' cognitive learning outcomes in science, especially in renewable energy. Often students only focus on theory without linking the material to their real life. This study aims to explore the application of contextual learning to improve cognitive learning outcomes of grade X students on the topic of renewable energy. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method involving 29 grade X students in West Jakarta for four weeks, through the stages of observation, planning of inquiry and contextual learning, implementation for eight meetings, and evaluation of learning outcomes using validated tests, mentor feedback, and community advertising video project assessment rubrics. The results showed an increase in students' cognitive learning outcomes after the application of contextual learning that links the material to everyday environmental issues and the assignment of analyzing energy problems through group research. Therefore, it is concluded that contextual learning assessment on the topic of renewable energy is effectively able to improve the cognitive learning outcomes of grade X students.
