Anugerah Umum: Sebuah Usulan Integrasi Iman dan Ilmu Menurut Abraham Kuyper

Ada banyak variasi relasi antara iman dan ilmu pengetahuan. Yang umum diketahui pembagian dari Ian G. Barbour dengan empat kategorinya. Artikel ini fokus pada salah satu kategorinya yaitu integrasi. Menggunakan metode penelitian literatur, artikel ini difokuskan pada konsep teologi anugerah umum (common grace) Abraham Kuyper, sebagai kerangka melakukan integrasi antara iman dan ilmu. Sebagai hasilnya, beberapa prinsip usulan untuk integrasi iman dan ilmu. Pertama-tama ditunjukkan bahwa integrasi iman dan ilmu sesungguhnya terjadi dalam diri integrator itu sendiri, melalui pengalamannya dengan Allah yang menganugerahkan iman, dan iman itu yang membawanya kepada kecintaan serta pencarian akan ilmu pengetahuan yang sejati. Selanjutnya, anugerah umum juga membawa integrator untuk menghargai nature sebagai anugerah Allah, bahkan tanpa alergi menggunakan ilmu dari mereka yang unregenerate. Lalu dibagian akhir, ditunjukkan bagaimana integrasi membawa kemuliaan bagi Allah.
