'Kelapa Sawit': Kebersamaan dalam Pengelolaan Sampah Menjadi Duit- Mendesain Modifikasi Bank Sampah u/ Warga di Kampung Pondok Pucung, Tangerang Selatan

Abstract


Kampung Pondok Pucung adalah kampung asli yang ter-’sisa’berada di tengah-tengah sebuah mega kompleks perumahan modern yang terletak di Tangerang Selatan. Kampung ini secara fisik terbangun minim perencanaan dan infrastruktur yang memadai. Situasi fisik yang cenderung tak teratur ini membuat warga juga memiliki kesadaran yang minim untuk mengelola sampahnya dengan baik sehingga timbul permasalahan kebersihan lingkungan yang dirasakan dan disadari oleh warga sendiri. Tim peneliti melihat hal ini sebagai suatu peluang masuk dan mencoba menggunakan pendekatan desain untuk memberikan alternatif penyelesaian permasalahan pengelolaan sampah lingkungan yang dihadapi warga. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah kombinasi penelitian - tindakan (pengabdian) - desain (research -action- design) dengan mengambil pendekatan spesifik yang disebut sebagai metode spesifik DAG (Design as Generator) yang merupakan kombinasi model Participatory Action Research & Design Thinking. Penelitian ini kemudian mencoba melihat kemungkinan dan efektivitas model pemberdayaan masyarakat yang mengedepankan ekonomi dan hubungannya dengan menjaga kelestarian lingkungan secara kreatif. Penelitian ini juga merupakan bagian integral dari MK. Design, Society & Environment (DSE) yang dirancang sebagai demonstrasi praktik tridharma perguruan tinggi di level civitas academica Fakultas bersama para mahasiswa/i untuk melaksanakan penelitian dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat secara kolaboratif dengan tujuan memberi dampak positif (pemberdayaan) dan memberikan pengalaman transformasional bagi semua pihak yang terlibat – sesuai visi misi UPH menjadi Christ Centered University – yang mengedepankan True Knowledge, Faith in God and Godly Character.
