Journalist Practitioner Metro TV
Mercy Widjaja is an economic journalist at Metro TV, specializing in macroeconomics and microeconomics, also in stock, bond, and currency markets. She's currently reporting for the “Zona Bisnis” and “Metro Bisnis” programs at 9.30 AM and 3.30 PM. She found herself advanced at doing research, analyzing, and reporting, due to her current job as a journalist. Before starting her job as a journalist in 2017, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in International Relations from Universitas Pelita Harapan. She ended her university year with an internship experience at Indonesia's Embassy in Beijing and researching about China’s Belt and Road Political Economy. Mercy has been interested in Indonesia and China’s relationship since high school, and it pushed her to learn about the Chinese language and culture.
