Peer Review Process

Manuscripts submitted will go through the evaluation process with a system of double-blind peer review by reviewers selected by the Editorial Board with at least one of whom is a member of the Editorial Board. Reviewers are appointed under consideration of expertise and suitability to the subject. Results of the evaluation will be communicated within 3-4 months. On the basis of reviewers’ comments and recommendations, the Editorial Board will decide whether the manuscript is accepted without revision, accepted with revisions required, or rejected. The revised manuscript should be returned to the Editorial Board within a predetermined time.

  1. Submission of Manuscript
    • The author submits the manuscript through the Open Journal Systems (OJS).
    • The system confirms receipt and assigns a unique tracking number to the submission.
  2. Initial Editorial Screening
    • The editor-in-chief or editorial team reviews the manuscript for compliance with the journal’s scope, structure, and formatting requirements.
    • Manuscripts that fail to meet basic criteria are rejected or returned for revisions.
  3. Assignment to Reviewers
    • If the submission passes the initial screening, the editor assigns it to two or more independent peer reviewers with expertise in the subject area.
    • The review process is typically double-blind (neither authors nor reviewers know each other’s identity).
  4. Peer Review Process
    • Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on criteria such as originality, clarity, methodology, contribution to the field, and coherence.
    • Reviewers provide detailed feedback, including suggestions for improvements, and submit a recommendation (accept, minor revisions, major revisions, or reject).
  5. Editorial Decision
    • The editor reviews the feedback from all reviewers and makes a decision:
      • Accepted: The manuscript is accepted as is or with minor changes.
      • Revisions Required: Authors must address reviewers' comments and resubmit the revised manuscript.
      • Rejected: The manuscript is declined based on reviewers' recommendations.
  6. Revision and Resubmission (if applicable)
    • The author revises the manuscript according to the reviewers' feedback and resubmits it within the given timeframe.
    • The revised submission may be sent back to reviewers for further evaluation or reviewed by the editor directly.
  7. Final Decision
    • After revisions, the editor makes the final decision to accept or reject the manuscript. If accepted, the manuscript moves to the next stage for publication preparation.
  8. Copyediting and Proofreading
    • The accepted article undergoes copyediting to ensure grammatical and stylistic consistency.
    • The author reviews and approves the final proof before publication.
